You keep seeing “700 air watts” stamped on every brochure, and somewhere along the way you started believing a bigger number means a cleaner floor. Air watts central vacuum ratings get treated like a final score, when the number is really one lab reading taken under conditions your house will never match. Dealers tell you … Read more

You typed continuous duty central vacuum system because your last power unit quit mid job, and you’re not buying that problem twice. Three sellers quote three amp ratings for the same motor family, and “portable” gets stamped on a unit that needs an … Read more

You yank the cord free, drag twenty pounds of plastic up the stairs, and your shoulder aches before you’ve vacuumed one room. A central vacuum is a whole-house system built around one fixed motor in your basement or garage, wired to in-wall piping and wall inlets, so you carry only a light hose between rooms. … Read more

You pulled the brand off a dusty label in the utility room, typed “tidy vac central vacuum” into Google, and got almost nothing useful: a Virginia parts retailer, a commercial janitorial canister, and one lone bag listing. Nothing about your actual wall unit. Three completely different companies answer to this name, and not one search … Read more

You searched “superlux central vacuum” and landed on a hose page, a wall unit listing, and a parts catalog that use the same name for completely different products. Nobody warns you they’re from different companies with no connection beyond a shared label. Here’s what makes this search frustrating: two retailers publish different air watt ratings … Read more
